Passion Week / Easter Season
Easter Season – Easter Sunday marks the beginning of the Easter Season, that ends on the 50th day after Easter, which is known as Pentecost Sunday. It commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles and other disciples following the Crucifixion, Resurrection, and Ascension of Jesus Christ.

Advent / Christmas Season
Advent means in Latin “coming”… during this season of hope and expectation, Christians prepare for Jesus’ coming. The four candles on the Advent wreath symbolize HOPE, PEACE, JOY, and LOVE. The candles are lit in that order on Sundays before Christmas. On Christmas Eve or Day the white CHRIST candle (sitting in the center of the Advent wreath) is lit.
