Precepts
Our clear indications of God’s leading are the precepts and principles in the Scripture. A precept is a commandment or direction given as a rule of action or conduct. On the other hand, a principle is a primary truth from which other truths are derived.
Our Sin & God’s Solution – We are separated from God and are spiritually dead because of disobedience to God.
Our Beliefs -We confess and teach that God, by the power of His almighty word, created the universe out of nothing, and continually sustains all things by the power of that same word.
Our Bible – We believe the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.
Our Health & Safety – We seek to be responsible for providing, so far as is reasonably practicable, a safe and healthy environment with a view to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all those who use the church facilities.
Our Humanity – We believe that man was the principal creature of God’s creation, and thus man was especially made in God’s image; that is, in a state of righteousness, innocence and blessedness.
Our Mission – We seek unity in peace and love, worship in spirit and truth, and hold the Holy Bible as our basis for living our lives, teaching and preaching the love and grace of God with others.
Our PCA – The Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) is a Reformed, evangelical Protestant Christian denomination. The PCA professes a strong commitment to evangelism, missionary work, and Christian education. The church declares its goal to be “faithful to the Scriptures, true to the Reformed faith, and obedient to the Great Commission.”
Our Standards – When the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America was formed in 1788, it adopted (with minor revisions) the Westminster Confession of Faith (WCF), Larger and Shorter Catechisms (1647).
