Want to take the next steps and get involved in combating Human Trafficking in Baltimore? This training will cover the following topics:
- Scope of the Issue
- Current Responses
- Understanding Victims, Traffickers, and Buyers
- Cultural Sensitivity Training and the Influence of the Commercial Sex Trade on DMST
- Current Legislation, Law Enforcement’s Response, and Legislative Gaps
- An overview of each Araminta Engagement Opportunity
The end goal of this training is to plug you into one of Araminta’s teams to actually BE INVOLVED.
This ‘condensed’ training will take place at Loch Raven Presbyterian on Friday evening and Saturday. Attendance is mandatory both days.
Because this is a condensed training, we are asking all participants to complete a homework assignment prior to the first class. You will need to read “Girls Like Us” by Rachel Lloyd . You can purchase the book from Amazon, or it is available at the Baltimore County Public Library. The homework questions will be sent out after registration closes and will need to be completed prior to May 11.
Registration is now closed.
