Nashville Statement
Supported by the PCA and here at LRPC

October 19, 2020 –We the members of the Loch Raven PCA Session affirm and support the fourteen articles of the Nashville Statement, which were first published online in 2017 by The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood1 (CBMW). This statement documents in a concise manner many of our biblical beliefs for the health of the family and the church.

“Know that the LORD Himself is God;
It is He who has made us,
and not we ourselves…” –Psalm 100:3

At our 2019 General Assembly, the PCA declared the Nashville Statement “biblically faithful”. This year the PCA Committee Releases Human Sexuality Report, Signals Agreement with Nashville. This will certanily be a matter for much discussion in future PCA General Assembly meetings.

The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood

The mission of The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood is to set forth the teachings of the Bible about the complementary differences between men and women, created equally in the image of God, because these teachings are essential for obedience to Scripture and for the health of the family and the church.

CBMW hopes that in of serving Christ’s church and witnessing publicly to the good purposes of God for human sexuality revealed in Christian Scripture, we might agree to this statement. According to their website there have been 24,000+ signers. Will you be a signer? Scripture texts were not a part of the original document but have been added subsequently for reference.

Notes:

  1.  Our LRPC endorsement of this Nashville Statement, does not endorses everything CBMW.
