Secretary / Receptionist
Provides support for the work of the Pastor, Session, and other Church Boards and Committees. Uses and maintains the office computer using Microsoft based applications. Maintains the Church Calendar. Receives, Files, and Distributes internal and external communications. Produces and distributes routine church-wide documents. Provides Reception desk and telephone message center support. Manages office equipment and office supplies. Maintains LRPC specific request forms and application documents. Helps to budget and manage yearly expenses.
Database Administrator – PowerChurch
PowerChurch Plus (PCP) is the Church Management Software (CMS) currently being used at LRPC. This CMS will allow us to maintain Membership, Contributions, Accounting, Event Scheduling, and general Record Keeping in one complete church administration software package. Currently we maintain a standalone off-line desktop system using only the Membership functionally to maintain our official membership records.
A Database Administrator (SYSADMIN) installed and maintains the PowerChurch software, to include making site unique configuration changes to customize the software for use at LRPC. In addition SYSADMIN maintains a logbook of site unique changes, coordinates system backup and recovery, and contacts with PowerChurch Software organization, as needed. The SYSADMIN currently also updates all membership information, like adding new families, individual members, and maintaining existing contact information off-site. A copy of this information is restored to the church office to allow the Administrative Assistant to confidently access the official membership information.
Our standalone off-line desktop version of PowerChurch is very robust (and perhaps a bit complex) CRM system with a lot of potential functionality, currently not used. It can also be expanded and licensed to use modern day cloud-based database storage accessed remotely with browser-based Internet access.
