Assistance Center of Towson Churches Committee

A Call To Care: Reaching out to those in need with God’s love and provision

Loch Raven Presbyterian Church became a member of the Assistance Center of Towson Churches (ACTC) in 2007. ACTC is a community organization, opened in 1985, consisting of some 40+ churches that joined together to effectively and efficiently meet the needs of people coming to local churches and requesting help.  It provides emergency assistance in the areas of food, shelter, clothing, medicine, transportation, fuel/utilities, transient help, toiletries, and referrals to people living in an area bounded by zip codes 21210, 21212 and 21239 on the south, west to Falls Rd., east to include all of 21234 and north to the PA state line.

A Committee of our Board of Deacons administers this Community Service.

Praise be to God! Sixty-one Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes from LRPC were delivered to Grace Fellowship Church on Tuesday, November 17th. The volunteers there were truly encouraged by our generosity and asked that their gratitude be communicated to the church.

Thank you LRPC for a truly blessed OCC 2020 campaign! Now…. it is never too early to start collecting shoe box items for 2021!

We had an amazing response to both the ACTC Thanksgiving Bags drive and the Operation Christmas Child shoebox collection, as you can see in the picture to the left. Thanks to all who donated items to either or both of these endeavors!

Our donation of Thanksgiving Baskets should be delivered to the LRPC lobby between October 25, and November 15. Contact the office for more details…
