Our Relationship With God

Our Problem...

We are separated from God and are spiritually dead because of disobedience to God. (Isaiah 59:2; Romans 3:23)

Therefore…

We must face God's judgment & punishment for our sins. (Romans 6:23; Hebrews 9:27) On our own merits and efforts, we cannot gain God's favor or forgiveness. (Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5)

God's Solution…

God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to take the punishment for our sin. Through Jesus' death and resurrection, God freely offers us His forgiveness and promises us an eternal and abundant life. (John 3:16; John 10:10; Romans 5:8; I Corinthians 15:3,4)

God Invites You…

God invites you to receive His forgiveness and eternal life by confessing your sins and welcoming the Lord Jesus Christ into your life as personal Savior. (Isaiah 55:7; John 5:24) When you receive Jesus into your life through sincere prayer, the Bible affirms that you have become a true child of God, that God's Holy Spirit lives within you and that you can fully claim all of God's promises as your own- including eternal life! (John 1:12; John 17:3; Romans 8:15-16; Romans 10:9,10,13; I John 5:11-13; Revelation 3:20)

A New Beginning…

As you begin a new life in Christ, you are encouraged to grow in the love, fellowship and knowledge of God. These goals can be accomplished in many ways, including:

  1. Studying and Obeying God's Word, the Bible (Psalm 1:3; John 14:21)

  2. Trusting the Lord Jesus to lead you according to His will (John 15:3-5)

  3. Regularly fellowshipping with God through prayer (John 15:7)

  4. Meeting regularly with other Christians to worship God and fellowship with one another (Hebrews 10:25; Acts 2:42)

  5. Witnessing about the Lord Jesus Christ to others through your words and actions (Matthew 25:36; Matthew 28: 18-20; Romans 12: 3-17; I Peter 3:15)
