Please join us on Sunday, November 16th at 7PM for an intimate and relaxed evening of worship. This time will include worship through music, prayer, and a brief message. Our prayer focus will be on our surrounding neighborhood and schools (in light of American Education week).
There will be an ‘open mic’ opportunity for you to briefly share, as the Spirit leads, how God has worked in your life – whether it was getting you to where you are now, something this past year, or something more recent. If you can already think of something you’d like say, please speak with Sue Milligan, Rachel Stenger, or Jason Palmisano so that we can be sure to set aside a moment for you.
As we’re encouraged by the ways we hear God working in our community at Loch Raven, we will also recognize that people have burdens that need prayer. We’ll have an ‘open mic’ time of lifting up your prayer requests to be prayed for by each other. (Both of these prayer times will be completely voluntary. Speak and pray only if you feel led.)
God is doing marvelous things in and through His church – Loch Raven. We desire for this Evening of Worship to be a celebration of that. We hope and pray that this evening is an opportunity for you to worship God in a slightly different way, to rejoice in how He is transforming each others lives, to build a community that bears one another’s burdens, and to be renewed and encouraged in our faith.
ALSO: Immediately after worship, for those that can stay, we’ll be having a little ‘packing party’ for the ‘Troops-Or-Treat’ Candy Care packages we’re sending to soldiers. The packing won’t take long. We’ll also be writing letters to the soldiers (if the congregation didn’t prepare enough in advance). There will be a time of prayer for the packages and the soldiers.
